The Department for the Economy has launched an initial consultation and survey to help shape a new Good Jobs Charter for Northern Ireland. The consultation is seeking views on what makes a “good job” and which workplace initiatives matter most to employers, employees and sector leaders.
A co-design group, including employer bodies, trade unions and subject experts, will use the findings to help develop the Charter ahead of a further consultation later this year.
For third sector leaders, this is an important opportunity to help influence how good employment practice is defined in Northern Ireland — particularly at a time when recruitment, retention and staff wellbeing remain key challenges across the sector.
The online survey is open until 31 July 2026.
