Free Age-Friendly Awareness Training Open Across Northern Ireland

Community groups, businesses and statutory organisations across Northern Ireland are being invited to take part in “See Things From My Age” – Age Friendly Awareness Training, funded by the Public Health Agency. This engaging and thought-provoking session explores the lived experiences of older people and offers practical ways to build more inclusive, age-friendly organisations and communities. The training is underpinned by the World Health Organisation’s Age-Friendly framework, providing a strong foundation for meaningful change.

The free sessions will take place in Ballymena, Derry/Londonderry, Omagh and Lisburn, with refreshments and lunch provided. This initiative offers a valuable opportunity for organisations to strengthen their approach to inclusion and better support ageing populations.
